Description
Fiona Gammell formed the Traveller Animal Welfare Help and Advice group (reg Charity no. 18132) in 2006. She had worked a number of years as an inspector for Wicklow SPCA, and felt strongly that there was a real need for practical help and advice for the traveller community regarding the welfare of their animals. The group also works with local Traveller social services and educational centres.
The group also helps rehome animals, including dogs, cats and horses. They depend on donations, grants and some Dogs Trust vouchers to back up their work. But in order to expand their work, they hope to get more donations.

About Rescue Animals Ireland
My name is Maureen Ryan and I want to share everything I know about rescue animals to help you take better care of yours! I grew up raising rabbits, cats and dogs and have learned a lot over the years. I have also spend many years volunteering for my local rescues. Hopefully, my articles are helpful and as you read them you'll learn a little more about rescue pets.
