Description
Our small band of wonderful volunteers are regularly seen doing in-store collections, variety sales and holding various activities and events to raise vital funds so that we can continue to foster cats and rehome them and also to fund our important neutering programme.
Every cat we have in care receives neutering/spaying, vaccinations, worming, de flea'd treatment, microchipping, FIV/FELV testing, full veterinary health check (incluing dental) and 4 weeks free pet insurance.
All we ask for is an adoption fee of £75 for adults and £95 for kittens (which includes a cat carrier) to cover a little of those costs. Every re homing will have either a home check or an informal check list applied.
Our neutering programme is NOT means tested but there are a limited number of FREE neutering/spaying vouchers, so it is on a first come, first served basis. Our exclusive Cats Protection Veterinary Practice - Downe Veterinary Clinic, Downpatrick offer means tested vouchers, which usually means that the customer only pays £5 for the service. There really is no excuse for not neutering your pets, it is one of the kindest things you can do for them.

About Rescue Animals Ireland
My name is Maureen Ryan and I want to share everything I know about rescue animals to help you take better care of yours! I grew up raising rabbits, cats and dogs and have learned a lot over the years. I have also spend many years volunteering for my local rescues. Hopefully, my articles are helpful and as you read them you'll learn a little more about rescue pets.
